About Steve Follman

Steve Follman

As long as I can remember art has been a major part of my life. Art frees the mind and soul, I get great joy in seeing how my work touches and can inspire others. At a young age I can vaguely remember comparing my drawings with other kids and realizing that mine were different. My parents encouraged me to seek out various styles and types of art. When I was 13, I was the only kid in a life drawing class at night. I learned how fabric drapes on the human body, then we moved to drawing nude models. At 17, I attended Rhode Island School of Designs summer session, this experience opened my eyes to a whole new world of mediums and styles. I tried everything from printmaking to painting.
